Gwinnett Campus Vote
Home Letter FAQs
We will likely begin construction in 2012. Construction should take 12 months to complete. We will use the time between now and the beginning of construction to make plans and develop drawings that will be required to build a facility that will meet the needs of the new community.
We will also need financial support. We will likely have a capital campaign in the future to pay for the project. If you want to give now, you can do so by designating "Gwinnett Campus" in the memo line of your check or online gift.
Where is the property located?
The property is in the city of Sugar Hill on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. (PIB), two miles south of GA 20 and three miles north of the intersection of PIB and McGinnis Ferry Road. Why did you choose this location?
Our strategy for locating new campuses is to put them where we can accomplish two objectives.- Locate a new campus close enough to an existing campus so that the new one offloads attenders from the existing one.
- The second is to attract people who have not attended a North Point campus previously because of distance.
What will the land cost?
We plan to purchase two tracts that will total 52 acres and will cost $8.7 million. When will the Gwinnett campus open?
Gwinnett Church launched October 2, 2011 and is currently meeting weekly at 6pm at the Gwinnett Center. We will likely begin construction in 2012. Construction should take 12 months to complete. We will use the time between now and the beginning of construction to make plans and develop drawings that will be required to build a facility that will meet the needs of the new community.
How can I help?
We want new attenders to walk in on day one and feel as if we have been open for years, as it was with Browns Bridge and Buckhead. To do so, we need great leaders. If you will be attending the Gwinnett campus and are already serving at another campus, please continue to do so. Before we open, we will ask people who want to serve at the Gwinnett campus to identify themselves. People who already know our systems and strategy allow us to create great environments from day one.We will also need financial support. We will likely have a capital campaign in the future to pay for the project. If you want to give now, you can do so by designating "Gwinnett Campus" in the memo line of your check or online gift.
